WINTER'S HOUSE

A place to dream and fill the head of a thousand fantasies imbued by real historical events, the Winter’s House becomes one of the greatest enigmas in the past 50 years.
From submarines bases on the coast, connected to the house through secret tunnels to a brothel for German officers during World War II, the home of the Winter has remained as one of the best kept mysteries in Fuerteventura. In spite of rumors and legends, nothing has been proved.

The mansion is not more than a romantic ruin and desolation in the midst of the beauty of the windward side of Jandía. This house and its adjacent land came at the hands of Gustav Winter when he fell in love with the landscape.
Famous writers as Alberto Vázquez Figueroa have written about this house and thousands of tourists come every year to visit it, trying to find out its mystery.
